Opinion
The trade fair caravan starts ...
... in September. The real pros can be found in the trade fair parking lot. This is where the caravans, campers and mobile mini-houses of the frequent visitors are parked and provide their occupants with a bit of homeliness. Such a vehicle would not be a bad idea for the fall, because there is a lot to see between Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Hanover. Above all, there are important things to see. Firstly, there is Fachpack in Nuremberg. As a trade fair for packaging technology, it marks one of the last steps in the production process after manufacturing and before logistics. The many handling tasks at this point have prompted us to give the trade fair its own focus in this issue.
The EMO in Hanover is an important event, although it also covers a lot of topics that are only peripheral for us. However, I will certainly pay a small visit to the trade fair. The most important event for handling is Motek. Hardly any other event covers our range of topics as well as the event in Stuttgart. In this issue, we provide an initial preview of interesting innovations and trade fair topics. This will be followed by a comprehensive focus in issue 9 in September.
Motek also provides the setting for our "Modern Assembly" congress and the festive presentation of the handling awards. And I have a bit of a head start here, because the jury met on July 31 and chose the winners according to a strict set of rules. But you, dear readers, can also vote: You can find all the entries here and choose the winner of the Readers' Choice Award. The award ceremony will take place on the evening of October 8 with music, dinner and a show.
Until then, however, the sun will continue to shine over Germany for many hours. I wish you a refreshing start to the fall and hopefully we will meet in person at the trade fair caravan!
Yours
