Opinion
Back pain, headaches...
... your neck is tense - who hasn't experienced this after a long working day or even a long working week. Ergonomics at the workplace is extremely important. As an editor, I usually sit at my desk with my eyes on the monitor.
The right chair and the right posture can make a big difference here. However, each workstation has different requirements depending on the activity. When designing ergonomic assembly workstations, which may be used in shifts, other aspects need to be taken into account: Work tables are height-adjustable, shelves can be adjusted for an optimum reach range to enable fatigue-free working. Often underestimated but important to consider: the right lighting. It has a positive effect on employee concentration. These are also important aspects against the background of demographic change.
At the same time, work is changing and new forms of human-machine cooperation are emerging. "In future, the workstation for manual assembly will be networked and connected to the IT infrastructure," says Jan Willem Jongert, CEO of Bott, in an interview with handling. Assistance systems, automatic quality controls and collaborative robots can already be integrated into workstations today. How can we make the best use of the potential of new technologies for our work? handling will keep you updated on this exciting topic!
Now I hope you are sitting comfortably, and I wish you an exciting read,
Yours
