Dekra offers a new digital solution to increase safety during factory shutdowns and plant overhauls. Based on the proven "Dekra Safety Platform", the tool supports the coordination of all relevant critical safety measures and provides real-time data. The operator thus retains control during the turnaround and safely and efficiently restores the availability of the plant.
Factory shutdowns and plant overhauls pose an increased safety risk due to deviations from routine processes and high time pressure. During a planned turnaround or an unplanned shutdown, various activities are usually carried out simultaneously in order to maintain, repair or renew the system.
This work is often carried out by external service providers. They carry out non-routine activities and use special equipment. The extreme time and cost pressure can make occupational health and safety even more difficult and the coordination of the work more challenging.

The safety experts at Dekra have tailored the cloud-based "Turnaround Safety" solution for shutdowns in all industries. The basis for this is the "Dekra Safety Platform", a flexible digital solution with mobile and web applications for occupational health and safety.
Among other things, the integrated expert software supports the management of service providers, delivers safety reports in real time, guides you step-by-step through safety inspections and audits, helps with the allocation of authorizations (work permits) and generates clear dashboards of all relevant data. It identifies hazards, authorizations, instructions and critical events, thereby accelerating daily safety processes. The system also coordinates alarm systems and emergency measures via IoT interfaces.
