The MSU IO-Link compact multifunctional unit combines a hydraulic release unit and a single-channel rotary union in one compact assembly. In addition to the option of transferring cooling lubricant, the system features sensor-based condition monitoring. This enables the identification of the release piston position as well as the detection of temperature, stroke and leakage. The sensors used for this are pre-assembled in the release unit and are IO-Link-capable as standard. The new PTI (Polygonal Turning Interface) turret interface offers high torsional and bending rigidity, above-average repeat accuracy and compatibility with other interfaces. The quick-clamping system developed for PTI significantly reduces non-productive time. Tools are loosened and clamped with a torque wrench.
