At Hannover Messe 2021,Siemens presented Sitrans SCM IQ, a new Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solution for smart condition monitoring.

This enables potential malfunctions to be detected and prevented at an early stage, reducing maintenance costs and downtimes and increasing plant performance by up to ten percent. The hardware is based on the wireless and robust Sitrans MS200 multi-sensors for mounting on system components such as pumps, gearboxes, compressors or drives. There they collect vibration and temperature data. Using a Bluetooth connection, this data is transmitted to the Sitrans CC220 industrial gateway and from there encrypted to the cloud, in this case the industrial IoT-as-a-Service solution MindSphere.

The Sitrans SCM IQ system has an anomaly detection system based on machine learning. It permanently monitors and analyzes all sensor values and detects deviations from the normal operating status at an early stage. Notifications of anomalies are sent by SMS and/or email, depending on the configuration and defined user group. The app can be used to document anomalies in system behavior and pass them on within a specific user group. Available from summer 2021, the Sitrans SCM IQ system, consisting of multisensors, gateway and app, can be used in all industrial plants with mechanical or rotating plant components.
