Robust and flexibly configurable
With the finger joystick 842, Megatron offers the ideal solution for special applications.
The potentiometric finger joystick 842 from Megatron impresses with its robust metal mechanism, ease of use and high configurability. Despite its compact dimensions, even the deflection in the X and Y directions can be adjusted separately. Thanks to the potentiometric sensors, the finger joystick is also insensitive to electromagnetic radiation and is therefore ideal for applications with high EMC requirements.
Protection against electromagnetic interference
Potentiometer joysticks continue to be in great demand due to their simple interface, flexibility in terms of operating voltage, low power consumption and robustness against electromagnetic interference. The 842 is the only potentiometer joystick in its size class to feature a metal mechanism, which on the one hand ensures a very high-quality feel and on the other hand enables separate configuration of the behavior when deflected in the X and Y directions.
Thanks to the design principle, the joystick can be optimally adapted to the application: There are two body variants and numerous installation types to choose from. The user can also choose from a wide range of knobs. Furthermore, the actuating force can be reduced from 1.3 Newtons (standard) to 1.0 Newtons or increased to 1.6 Newtons. For special applications, one or even both axes can be used as a friction brake. This allows the customer to configure the operating element flexibly according to their requirements.
Individual configuration
As an industry specialist, Megatron offers additional services for use in series production that go beyond the standard selection. For example, the joysticks are assembled with different cable versions according to customer requirements, even for small quantities, and variants with customer-specific knobs are also available.
Megatron can customize the function, design and mechanical and electrical interfaces of almost any of its products on request. In this way, the customer receives a functional, economical solution, reduces product development times and thus has a clear competitive advantage.
