Small components - high precision

At GrindTec, Emag will be showcasing solutions for precision grinding processes, among other things. These include the VG 110 vertical grinding machine, which, according to the manufacturer, is particularly suitable for out-of-round grinding of chuck parts. In addition to non-circular machining of internal and external contours, the machine can also be used for cylindrical grinding. The machine is also suitable for combination machining with an internal grinding spindle and a turning tool.

According to the manufacturer, the vertical design ensures that chips fall freely, thus preventing contamination of the clamping area. The vertical design also ensures a very compact slide structure and therefore high rigidity. The outstanding feature of the machine is its thermal stability. In order to achieve maximum machining accuracy on small workpieces, the X and Z axes are mounted separately on the base body. In addition, a machine cooling system ensures consistent work results.

Another feature is accessibility for service work. A "door in door" concept was developed for this purpose. A small sliding door is used for quick manual access to the work area. This door is in turn integrated into a large front door. The large front door can then be opened in seconds with a flick of the wrist when servicing is required. This means that all relevant machine components are directly accessible for servicing. sw
