Coating in thread production
With HiPIMS technology, CemeCon has developed a new coating material for HSS taps and thread formers.
TapCon Gold is tailored to the requirements of the machining task and enables better performance in thread production.
The coating materials produced with HiPIMS technology are very smooth, dense and adhesive, even on complex tool geometries. This is crucial for low torques, especially when tapping and forming threads. The smoothness and good tribological properties of TapCon Gold prevent material adhesion to the taps and achieve good chip removal. The running-in behavior is also very good due to the low-friction surface.
