Its stereo vision system with two 3.4 MP low-light cameras continuously measures the depth of the environment in 3D over distances of up to 50 m at a frame rate of up to 40 frames per second. All object recognition and classification tasks are performed embedded in an integrated Nvidia Jetson TX2 module using an algorithm developed by Rubedos. This shifts low- and high-level image processing to the processor of the embedded vision system and the computing capacity of the robot processor remains reserved for robot navigation. The Viper system measures 246 mm × 98 mm × 35 mm and weighs 800 g.
