Three 3D object recognition systems
Liebherr offers three different 3D object recognition systems for workpiece handling. The 3D vision system with laser time-of-flight is a red light laser that works independently of ambient light and the degree of soiling.
A 3D vision system with a two-stage laser triangulation process and blue light laser is suitable for workpieces made of metal, organic and semi-transparent/reflective materials. The third variant is the 3D stereo vision system with triangulation process, supported by an additional projector unit. This can create complete, homogeneous depth information of the scene using special projector technology.
The measured values are transmitted to the main software of the bin-picking system, which enables the learning of workpieces, grippers and their grip points.
