Schmalz founds subsidiary in Austria
Vacuum specialist Schmalz expands its international network and establishes another subsidiary in Austria, based in Linz.
The Austrian team is now advising customers from the region on all topics relating to automation with vacuum, vacuum technology for robots and ergonomic handling as well as crane systems for vacuum lifting devices. "For us, the establishment in Austria is a further step in the implementation of our global growth strategy," explains Managing Director Dr. Hinrich Dohrmann.
The location was chosen with care, as Upper Austria, with the state capital Linz, is one of the most dynamic economic regions in Austria. In addition to logistics, wood and metal, the company's key target sectors also include robotics and automation. Target customers include both industry and trade. The vacuum experts rate the potential for vacuum technology as correspondingly high - not least due to the advancing automation and digitalization of industrial production.
