Compact, fast with high repeat accuracy

With the GX4 and GX8, Epson is introducing two new series of its SCARA robots. They are suitable for a wide range of different applications.

From classic pick-and-place applications to assembly and dispensing tasks as well as parts feeding. The compact and versatile machines have been developed for high working speeds in confined spaces without sacrificing precision. A special feature of both families is the gyro sensors built into their arms, which enable particularly fast movements without vibrations caused by high accelerations or masses.

The GX4 variants are available with a reach of 300 and 350 mm, with a choice of straight, left- or right-facing curved primary arm sections. The GX8, which is comparable in design and concept to the GX4 series, offers a payload of up to 8 kg with reaches of 450, 550 and 650 mm. Its minimum cycle time is 0.28 s.
