ABB has added cloud-enabled functions to its programming and simulation software. With the new RobotStudio Cloud, individuals and teams can work together on robot cell designs in real time
New functions such as automatic version control ensure greater transparency and make teams more productive. Thanks to simplified user interfaces and intuitive navigation, users of all skill levels can work on robotics projects.
With the new cloud-based RobotStudio software, companies can program their robots in a collaborative way, reduce the time and cost of physical testing and commissioning and avoid malfunctions. System integrators and engineering teams work together in real time to plan, create and optimize robotic automation solutions.
New version control
One of the new functions of RobotStudio Cloud is version control. This allows users to track all changes, giving them full transparency. As this new function provides information about who edited the program and when, the time required to rectify errors and performance problems can be significantly reduced.
The cloud-based Virtual Controller in RobotStudio also provides developers with a fast and powerful simulation tool for adapting and testing programs. By creating an exact digital twin, the Virtual Controller provides the certainty that the robot will move just as precisely in the real world as in the simulation after installation. This allows for fine-tuning and optimization, which can help minimize scrap or problems at the start of production.
The software's simplified user interface makes it easier than ever to create and modify programs. This means that even users with little technical knowledge can program robot applications quickly and with minimal effort. The security architecture, specially developed for companies, ensures a high level of security and productivity.
