Robots at the injection molding machine

Wittmann is expanding its Primus series with the Primus 10, Primus 26 and Primus 26T robot models.

The Primus 10 is designed for removing sprues and is equipped with a sprue gripper as standard. The movements are transmitted by means of racks and belts, which enables cycle times of less than four seconds. The compact dimensions allow operation within the protective housing of an injection molding machine.

Primus 26 and 26T are suitable for injection moulding machines with clamping forces of up to 400 tons. Thanks to its load capacity of 10 kilograms, the Primus 26 also offers the option of manipulating more complex grippers. The horizontal axis is available with a maximum stroke length of 6,000 millimetres. Vertical strokes of up to 1,400 millimetres are possible, whereby the vertical stroke is designed as a single axis on the Primus 26 and as a telescopic axis on the Primus 26T. The devices have up to four vacuum circuits.
