Robot-guided 2D X-ray system
Heitec relies on robots for quality assurance and has developed the robot-guided, fully automatic 2D X-ray system HeiDetect Flex Robot.
Consisting of variable loading and feeding concepts as well as evaluation software, the system can be adapted to the production requirements and expanded if necessary. For example, a modified gripper ensures safe handling of different components.
The 2D X-ray system works fully automatically by loading and unloading with industrial robots or other handling systems. Due to the large input area of the XEye detector, fewer inspection positions are required. Image processing allows casting defects to be detected and classified, among other things. Defects can be detected from a range of 3 percent of the wall thickness penetrated.
