RobCo at the Hannover Messe 2026
Robotic system for dynamic environments
RobCo is presenting a new industrial robotics system for dynamic tasks in industry at the Hannover Messe. With 'Autonomous Alfie', the company is opening up a new category of robotic solutions. This allows tasks in which processes, objects and environmental conditions vary to be increasingly automated.
Autonomous Alfie combines dual arms with an integrated hardware and software architecture for perception and execution. The system is designed for use in dynamic environments, can continuously improve and adapt to new objects, processes and conditions - without extensive manual programming. Fields of application range from precision assembly and sensitive material handling to intralogistics processes such as order picking, kitting and palletizing.
"In industrial practice, what counts is not what looks spectacular in a demo, but what works reliably under real conditions," says Lorenzo Pautasso, Director Product at RobCo. "The real challenge is to deal reliably with changing conditions and variants - not in isolated cases, but thousands of times during operation. This is exactly what Alfie is designed for."
Autonomous Alfie is currently in the final development phase, with the first customer deployments planned for this year. The expansion follows the company's recent 100 million US dollar financing round, which will enable it to drive forward its physical AI roadmap and expand its presence in the USA. RobCo's Robotics-as-a-Service model makes it easier for companies to enter this new generation of industrial automation without a high initial investment.
"Automation has long been particularly successful where processes are clearly structured and predictable," says Roman Hölzl, CEO of RobCo. "With Alfie, we are expanding industrial robotics to include a new class of systems that can deal with changing requirements on an industrial scale. In future, it will also be possible to automate applications where this has hardly been possible to date."
