New compact ejectors
Schmalz presented a new family of compact ejectors at the Hannover Messe.
The SCPM series is available in three versions: Basic, Controlled or Intelligent. Depending on requirements, the three versions offer different functions, for example for saving compressed air or monitoring the process, as well as interfaces such as IO-Link and NFC (Near Field Communication) for reading out and parameterizing the devices. In addition, up to 16 ejectors can be linked to one terminal with one connection.
Another new feature is a vacuum terminal that has an optional Ethernet interface instead of an IO-Link interface and therefore the real-time capability of Industrial Ethernet standards such as Ethercat or Profinet. This also makes the ejector suitable for complex processes that require synchronously running systems.
