Hybrid robots
MRK-capable and suitable for harsh environments
The hybrid, HRC-capable Motoman HC10 robot from Yaskawa can be used in collaborative operation as well as a fully-fledged industrial robot.
With the new HC10DT IP67 model, the manufacturer has extended the robot's range of applications. It is both dustproof and waterproof, and thanks to the IP67 protection rating, the 6-axis robot can also be used in environments where it is exposed to dirt or liquids.
Like the basic HC10DT model, the new IP67 version combines the stability and high movement speeds of an industrial robot with the safe limitation of contact forces between the operator and robot, thus enabling genuine human-robot collaboration (HRC). As a robot with power and force limitation, the HC10DT IP67 can be used in accordance with the ISO TS15066 technical specification. It therefore requires no additional protective measures, allowing flexible installation.
With the new model, Yaskawa has once again extended the range of applications for the robot, which has a handling weight of 10 kg and a reach of 1.2 m. The HC10DT IP67 is not only fully protected against the ingress of dust, but is also waterproof in accordance with its protection class, even when temporarily submerged. This makes it suitable for handling tasks in harsh environmental conditions, for example.
Programming made easy
The model offers three complementary programming options: Direct Teach (DT) allows programming to be carried out directly via the robot arm. This intuitive "Easy Teaching" is made possible by a special switch box with function buttons. The HC10DT IP67 can be conveniently programmed using the three buttons on the robot flange - enabling button, teach-in button and tool button for opening and closing the gripper. The Smart Pendant touchscreen programming device also allows users to make quick and easy program adjustments. In addition, a fully-fledged hand-held control unit with high programming depth is available for demanding programming tasks.
