Modular system for robot gripper solutions
Piab is showcasing an entire modular system of robot gripper solutions. The vacuum specialist has expanded its product range with the acquisition of SAS Automation and Feba Automation and is now showcasing this at Automatica. The robot-based gripper and handling solutions can be integrated into networked production via piSMART.
The piSMART app for cell phones and other mobile handheld devices can be used to record data such as cycle times or energy consumption. Piab is the first of its product ranges to use this system for its premium all-round vacuum ejectors in the piCOMPACT series and is also equipping them with IO-Link. This allows the condition of the grippers to be monitored and preventive maintenance measures to be taken. ag
