Mini part-turn actuator
With the SM-4 series, Friedemann Wagner offers a compact quarter-turn actuator for small installation spaces. With an effective torque of 0.3 Newton meters, the mini module can handle up to 3.5 kilograms per square centimetre of inertia.
According to the manufacturer, variants with or without hydraulic dampers are available depending on requirements. External, hollow stop screws ensure repeat accuracy of plus/minus 0.01 degrees and at the same time provide space to accommodate the initiators. Despite its small dimensions, the swivel unit has two air feed-throughs - for example, a parallel gripper mounted on the swivel surface can be supplied with air through the rotating unit. Short compressed air paths, no torsion - a quickly available approach for an additional axis, especially in applications with limited installation space. as
