Seelector Icam HD4

Mini camera, high-quality images

To enable robots to carry out tasks such as positioning, inspection or quality assurance, they are enhanced with cameras. Hema has developed the Seelector Icam HD4 for this purpose.

The miniaturized sensor head is ideal for use in robot applications and in confined spaces; for example, welding processes can be tracked and visualized in hard-to-reach positions. The camera system delivers high-quality images and can be used flexibly in different locations thanks to its size. The camera head can be mounted several meters away from the camera CPU if space is limited. The brightness dynamic range of up to 170 decibels ensures a clean image without fading. An embedded computer handles image preparation and image processing functions in real time. This control unit is housed in a location away from the working area. The image is output to an external monitor via a VGA or Ethernet connection. The camera has GigE Vision and digital inputs/outputs for integration into the system environment. The integration of image processing software turns the camera into a quality assurance system. Hema provides its own software packages with many functionalities for welding processes. This allows the camera image to be evaluated on the connected PC using freely available software tools. as
