Lifting column use in the clean room
RK Rose+Krieger is expanding its family of lifting columns with a variant specially designed for use in cleanrooms.
The requirement to manufacture and produce products under clean conditions is becoming increasingly important in various industries. In particular, equipment in cleanrooms is required to be characterized by minimal particle emissions. Even the smallest particles can lead to contamination of products and thus to malfunctions. Despite the increasing degree of automation of the individual process steps, countless production activities are carried out by employees who, depending on the activity, also require ergonomically designed workstations in the cleanroom. Electrically movable lifting columns make a significant contribution here.
RK Rose+Krieger is now expanding its Multilift II lifting column product family with the Multilift II clean. The latest lifting column variant has been specially designed for use in cleanrooms. The company has optimized the drive used in the lifting column in order to reduce the lifting column's particle emissions to a cleanroom-compatible minimum.
Proof of cleanroom suitability was provided by a particle emission test in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644-1, which was carried out by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA. As a result, the IPA certified the lifting column for use in cleanrooms up to globally valid class 4.
In addition to the new Multilift II clean, the company offers five other models in the range of electrically movable lifting columns:
- the standard version Multilift II
- the telescopic version Multilift II telescope
- the Multilift II impact with integrated damping system for absorbing high impact forces
- the Multilift II ESD with electrically conductive connected profiles
- Multilift II safety with integrated fall protection for overhead applications
All models were created by adapting them to the different customer requirements. Further versions are already being planned. kp
