Handling heavy steel parts
Goudsmit has developed a magnetic power gripper. According to the manufacturer, the magnetic gripper can be used as a lifting magnet for picking up or gripping heavy ferromagnetic parts from 6 mm.
The neodymium magnet can also be used as a handling magnet in robot applications or in plasma cutting machines. The permanent magnet can be switched using compressed air with a 5/3 valve. An example: A 115 mm gripper lifts a load of around 175 kg. The magnet is maintenance-free, has a long service life and is available in three sizes: Ø 50, Ø 75 and Ø 115 mm. sw
