The MiniPick3D from Isra Vision now also detects objects just a few cubic millimeters in size in small containers.
The system has a new four-camera sensor for component recognition and thus enables fully automatic access to the crate. Thanks to the integrated embedded processor technology, scanning times are just a few 100 ms, according to the company. The surface structure of the components to be detected has no influence on the scanning time. Isra Vision mentions possible application scenarios such as "reaching into the crate", for example in the areas of assembly and logistics. The system could be combined with a collaborative robot for this purpose. sw
