QuickRobot online tool
Equipping robots made easy
Highly flexible cables and hoses ensure that robot applications are supplied with energy, data and media. Energy supply systems are required to protect them safely even under high dynamics and torsion.
With the expanded QuickRobot, Igus offers a free online tool for quickly configuring the individual energy chain system for 418 robots. New features such as product videos support the selection process.
They weld, rivet, palletize and assist: Robots. To ensure that the small and large production assistants can work reliably, even in 24/7 operation, they need the right energy supply system to guide the cables and hoses safely from axis 1 to axis 6. Igus has now expanded its robot equipment configurator especially for the simple design of individual energy chains for cobots, SCARA, 4-axis robots and 6-axis robots. In the online tool, users can select their robot from 418 different models from 10 manufacturers and find the optimum energy supply system for axes 1 to 6.
A suitable cable carrier from a thousand configuration options
The path to the customized energy chain is very simple: after selecting the robot model, the user is shown all compatible energy supply systems, such as the three-dimensional triflex R energy chains and retraction systems or the new SCARA Cable Solution. A new feature are videos of the individual products in question, which illustrate the real use and movements of the energy chain. A visualization of the robot and an exploded view of the components help with configuration.
The user can find out more detailed information about the components by clicking on the help buttons in the individual fields. This allows the customer to choose the system that fits directly onto the robot. The price is calculated in real time. The article list is generated automatically, can be downloaded or added directly to the shopping cart. The CAD data of the individual components, a PDF report and also assembly videos of the components are offered by the tool as a further service. In addition, the configuration can be easily saved for coordination within the team or for follow-up projects.
