Configure cantilever axles
Item launches a new generation of its digital solutions Motion Designer and Motion Soft.
They allow users to select, design and commission cantilever axes that can be used, for example, as Z-axes in handling systems or for pick-and-place tasks in multi-axis gantries.
Motion Designer can be used to configure linear units and output the finished axis as a CAD file. The Motion Soft software takes the technical data of the motor, gearbox, controller and other components of the linear unit from the Motion Designer configuration tool, reads this data and programs the controller. As manual input is no longer necessary, sources of error are minimized and commissioning time is reduced, according to Item.
