Dust-tight and ATEX grippers
ATEX-certified gripper
Schunk now offers the PGN-plus-P gripper as an ATEX version for use in potentially explosive environments.
In addition, all sizes will also be available as dust-tight versions and corresponding retrofit kits for existing grippers by the end of the year. The dust-tight option can be combined with other features such as the ATEX, corrosion protection, high-temperature or precision version.
The diagonal pull surface of the wedge hook drive has been enlarged. Circumferential lubricant pockets on the multi-tooth guide ensure that the sliding surfaces are continuously wetted and the grippers operate maintenance-free. To ensure even distribution of the sealing air, the sealing air connection has been positioned centrally. On request, the modules are available with spring locking for mechanical gripping force maintenance and with compensation units to compensate for angular errors.
