New Chairman of the Board in VDMA specialist department
Sebastian Merz was elected as the new Chairman of the Executive Board of the VDMA Surface Technology Division.
Merz has been a member of the Executive Board since 2009. During the Board meeting, Merz thanked the Board for the trust placed in him: "I look forward to advancing surface technology together with the Board and the support of the VDMA".
Merz is Managing Partner of b+m Surface Ssystems GmbH, a supplier of fully automated coating systems and paint application systems. The company has been a member of the VDMA for over 20 years and is actively involved in the VDMA Surface Technology committee work.
Manufacturers of surface technology components, systems and equipment as well as product-related services are organized in the VDMA's Surface Technology Division. In addition to the automotive industry and its numerous suppliers, important customer sectors include mechanical engineering and other metalworking industries, the plastics and furniture industries and the skilled trades. The specialist department aims to create a competitive edge for its members through the exchange of experience, specialist information, advice on individual cases and statements.
