Glove reduces errors

Proglove, the specialist for industrial wearables, has presented its new glove scanners. The intelligent barcode scanners from the Munich-based company are already being used by industrial companies such as Kuka, Bosch, Festo and ThyssenKrupp - wherever employees previously used conventional pistol scanners.

The smart Proglove technology saves up to four seconds per scan. At the Hannover Messe, the company presented the Mark One S, the intelligent wearable scanner for standard range applications, as well as Mark 2, its "younger brother" for the mid-range sector. In an industrial environment, employees scan several thousand times a day. For example, to confirm orders, document work steps or send parcels. The Proglove can be worn on the body in the form of a glove or cuff and can be easily triggered. The wearables are lightweight, which means, for example, that a worker has to lift up to 1.5 tons less weight per shift. Functionalities such as worker feedback can also prevent up to 33 percent of common errors. as
