Swivel devices
Positioning for metal
The Remscheid-based company Peiseler is presenting further developments in swivel devices, rotary tables, turners and tool changing tables. The two-axis swivel units of the ZASR series were developed for five-axis machining.
With this machine concept, the fourth and fifth axes are located in the workpiece, which enables greater rigidity and accuracy compared to two-axis swivel heads. This allows users to move transport loads of up to 6,000 kilograms and workpieces with a diameter of up to 2,200 millimetres. An electrically tensioned gear drive enables highly dynamic simultaneous machining. In contrast to others on the market, the generously dimensioned swivel axis is mechanically and thermally symmetrical and achieves the best results, particularly in heavy-duty machining. pb
