Depending on the design of the shuttles, different drives are required. ebm-papst offers a selection of motors, control electronics, gearboxes, brake and sensor modules that can be combined to create a customized drive. The electronically commutated ECI motors in sizes 42, 63 and 80 mm cover the continuous power range from 30 to 750 watts. The necessary reduction of the high-speed internal rotor is provided by various gearboxes matched to the drives, which can also be combined with the external rotor motors from the VDC series.

In the shuttles, the installation space for the telescopic drive is usually particularly tight. This is where the VDC 49.15 external rotor motor, for example, is typically used. With an output of 110 W and a diameter of 63 mm, it is just 52 mm long and can also be easily combined with the robust Optimax planetary gearbox.
