Servopneumatic balancer

Ergonomic handling

With a servo-pneumatic balancer, employees in assembly and logistics can easily lift and move masses with just two fingers. At its heart is the powerful and safe YHBP drive solution from Festo - with automatic weight detection and Safety Performance Level d suitable for the automotive and packaging industries.

The system adjusts the balancing force automatically - even when masses are added or removed in a suspended state. This makes production processes with a wide range of variants flexible. Thanks to intuitive control via a pneumatic, ergonomic handle, operation is simple. With the safety version of the drive solution, a performance level d is achieved through dual-channel monitoring of the speed and energy cut-off. This always guarantees a safe state in the event of a component fault. Similarly, power failure or a sudden drop in pressure do not lead to any dangerous movement.

Depending on the version, the YHBP servo-pneumatic drive solution consists of a pneumatic standard cylinder with diameters of 80 to 200 millimetres with a position measuring system, optionally with a safety switching device for safety applications, the VPCB balancer valve unit, a pneumatic handle and the CECC-D-BA balancer controller for logical control of the balancer. Balancer software with browser-based web visualization is pre-installed on the controller for commissioning and diagnostics. The drive system is versatile: it is suitable for almost all balancer kinematics, from lifting columns and parallel kinematics to articulated arm kinematics - regardless of whether they are mounted upright or suspended on a rail system, for example. pb
