handling award for three-axis vibration technology

Second place in the Components for Handling and Assembly category went to Asyril. The company presented a feeding system with patented three-axis vibration technology for flexible small parts feeding.

The system enables the free movement of any parts in all directions (X/Y/Z); they can be removed by an industrial robot once they have been pre-aligned. This means that even complex-shaped parts or highly sensitive parts can be processed flexibly and quickly. The system works reliably as the parts do not jam, but are separated and fed gently for further processing. Abrasion is kept to a minimum as the parts are not recirculated as in the bowl feeder.

The three-axis vibration technology is used to systematically orient and align the parts, for example according to grooves, holes or recesses. Modern magnetic coil actuators ensure virtually wear-free operation. No compressed air is required.

The system was originally designed for the demanding watchmaking industry and has now been adapted for the manufacturing industry. Parts are detected reliably and precisely by the Smart-Sight parts recognition and image processing system. System integration can be easily implemented using various software plug-ins for all well-known industrial robot manufacturers. pb
