The rotary tables in the RT Mill series from Sauter are designed for positioning workpieces with a diameter of 800 to 2,500 millimetres and a maximum weight of up to 40 tons. The manufacturer particularly emphasizes that different bearing types for high tonnages or high-precision applications are available within one size. The installation space remains identical. The result: machine manufacturers are more flexible when designing the rotary axis on the machine tool and can offer their customers several options for one machine. Both a horizontal and a vertical rotary axis are possible.

The rotary tables can be equipped as standard with an oil distributor with ten channels to actuate clamping devices. This allows workpieces with complicated clamping processes, such as truck engine blocks, to be machined. The worm gears installed are designed so that the rotary tables have a reserve for higher loads and higher mass moments of inertia.

Palletclamping stations reduce non-productive times
Sauter also enables automated workpiece changing with the APC (Automatic Pallet Changer): The expert for rotary axes offers pallet clamping stations and pallet changing systems in accordance with DIN 55201 to match every rotary table. Non-productive times can thus be reduced to a minimum. as
