Reliable end effector for cobots
Collaborative robots are now widely used for a wide range of handling tasks. SMC offers three versions of the RMH pneumatic gripper for this purpose; it is compatible with cobots from a total of twelve companies.
Two two-finger grippers - one standard and one long-stroke version - and a three-finger gripper for application-specific parts handling are available for users. Applications include general automation as well as material handling in many other areas, including the medical/pharmaceutical sector. The grippers impress with their high clamping force and rigidity. Thanks to an integrated 3/2-way solenoid valve, no long tubing is required, which according to the manufacturer reduces air consumption by up to 80% per stroke. Two clamping screws allow for quick tool changes, and the optional protective cover enables use even in difficult production environments.
