Lifting panes safely

Fuyao optimized its logistics processes in order to be able to supply the car manufacturers adequately. Schmalz was able to impress with an overall concept that includes cranes as well as tube lifters. For example, windshields were previously carried by hand using suction lifters as gripping aids; now Jumboflex vacuum lifters and cranes from Schmalz are in use in Glatten. Further production lines are planned and therefore more equipment. A ceiling gantry crane is also planned. The lifting devices make work much easier for the workers. The coherent overall concept has resulted in greater ergonomics: the vacuum lifters are equipped with vacuum pumps, round suction pads made of nitrile rubber (NBR) and sound insulation boxes. This ensures efficient and safe lifting and holding of the glass panes with reduced noise levels. Pillar jib cranes with a jib length of six meters and a slewing range of 270 degrees provide sufficient freedom of movement. pb
