Hovmand
Lifting gear with tipping function for safe filling
Hovmand is expanding its range of lifting equipment. A bucket lifter with a manual tilting unit supports the special handling of buckets and small drums, while a mobile canister filling aid makes it easier to transport and decant canisters.
In the industrial production of food or chemical goods, powders, granulates and bulk goods in buckets or small drums as well as liquids from canisters often have to be transported from one place to another and transferred to other containers. Hovmand now also offers ergonomic solutions for carrying out these work steps without physical strain.
The new tools for the mobile industrial lifts make it easy to safely lift and tip heavy canisters and fill the contents. Regardless of the weight of the container, one person can easily manage the lifting and tipping process alone - another advantage when it comes to maintaining the current health-relevant minimum distance from other people. Both new products are also available as stainless steel solutions for environments with special hygiene requirements.
For buckets and small barrels
With the bucket lifter, the containers are strapped with a belt. This works on the principle of a car seat belt, can be tightened firmly and rolls up again automatically when loosened. During re-clamping, two load-bearing rollers, against which the container is pressed, prevent it from falling. A manually operated turning device allows the containers to be tilted sideways so that the contents can be precisely transferred to other containers.
Mobile fillingaid for canisters
The mobile filling aid for canisters is a new product on the market. Here, the canisters are picked up by the carrying handle using a hook device and held securely in place by a lock and two supporting arms. This enables the canisters to be lifted and transported. A manually operated turning device also enables precise transfer to another container by tilting the canister sideways.
The hoists not only bring benefits in terms of occupational health and safety for employees, but also in terms of productivity. Precise filling can speed up production processes. When it came to handling buckets and small barrels, people often shied away from investing in a hoist. Previously, it was necessary to invest in an all-electric solution. With the new hoists, there are now low-cost alternatives. "The lifting process is still electric, but tipping or changing containers can be done manually thanks to the newly developed lifting tools," says Managing Director Søren Hovmand. "As with the electric tools, operation is intuitive." as
