Historical and smart things at Motek

This year, Heinrich Kipp is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Accordingly, the company's presence at Motek will also be marked by this anniversary. Kipp is showcasing innovations such as the Bighand tubular handle and smart products from the Feature grip range.

The most important milestones from 100 years of Kipp can be traced at the trade fair stand using historical exhibits: From the company's first successful product - the spaetzle machine - to the adjustable clamping lever, which caused a small revolution in mechanical engineering from 1952. Today, Kipp is a leading manufacturer of standard elements and operating parts that are in high demand, especially in production and assembly automation.

Among the new products at Motek, the focus is on the Feature grip product line, which takes account of advancing digitalization: Electromechanical and sensor elements are integrated into the components and solutions so that users can make their manufacturing processes more stable and precise and benefit from greater process reliability. Examples of the smart products include a quick-release clamp with a force sensor and spring-loaded thrust pieces and locking pins equipped with condition sensors.

Kipp will also be showcasing the newly designed Bighand tubular handle, which offers a secure and comfortable grip thanks to its ergonomic oval handle shape and optimum tube size. It consists of an oval aluminum tube and end pieces as well as cover caps made of thermoplastic, whereby the end pieces are fitted with stainless steel bushings. Bighand can be used in the furniture and sports equipment industries as well as in mechanical and plant engineering.

The tilting automation cell will also be on show at Motek: The robot system for the automatic loading of CNC machines can be connected to both existing and new machine tools. Kipp implements complete solutions for CNC machine manufacturers on request, whereby clamping technology and automation are adapted to customer requirements. as
