For the first time, readers were also able to vote in the 6th handling award. The winner is the young company Hohe Tanne with the Fl.A.S.H. hygienic gripper.
The readers of handling have a wealth of specialist knowledge about all aspects of handling technology, robotics, quality assurance and intralogistics, reason enough to let them help decide the handling award. At the same time, there was always a certain amount of regret among the jury when some good entries disappeared into obscurity in fourth place.
Hygienic gripper
The first winner of the award is Hohe Tanne from Großbreitenbach, a very young company that focuses on hygienic technology. The special feature of the Fl.A.S.H gripper is that it can also be used in highly hygienic and sensitive areas, such as the food industry, thanks to its completely enclosed design and easy cleaning and disinfection. Another plus point is its ability to grip even pressure-sensitive objects securely.
This convinced the readers. What was striking about the vote was how widely distributed the votes were among the individual submissions. For example, 96 out of 692 votes were enough to win. No other places were awarded this year.
