With the acquisition of automation specialists SAS and Feba, Piab is taking a step towards becoming a full-service provider in the field of gripping and moving. A special modular system enables the simple combination of different components.
These include low-maintenance and durable high-end gripper systems for precise transfers and processes as well as customized robotic hands and pneumatic cutting tongs and complete cutting systems. In addition, vacuum-based automation solutions equipped with Piab components are offered for gripping and moving different products as well as special solutions in the field of laser sintering technology. Robust, high-quality conveyor belt systems and customized special solutions round off the portfolio.
Piab also points out the connection of the products to a global growth platform for robot-based gripping and handling solutions. With the introduction of Pismart, Piab offers vacuum products with advanced intelligence functions. They use an app to collect data such as cycle times, energy consumption and more. Piab is the first of its product ranges to equip the premium all-round vacuum ejectors in the Picompact series for Industry 4.0 and fit them with an IO-Link. The interface enables the realization of information transparency, condition monitoring and preventive maintenance. as
