Optimum sheet metal handling

The new Sax bell suction pad from Schmalz adapts perfectly to complex-shaped workpieces thanks to its high stroke. According to the manufacturer, this makes it particularly suitable for handling car body components, for destacking sheet metal blanks or for loading and unloading CNC metal processing and laser cutting machines.

Thanks to the structured suction surface, the Sax absorbs very high lateral forces and has a high holding force. It therefore handles oiled sheets particularly quickly. It also holds workpieces with a roughened surface reliably, thanks to the flexible, adaptable sealing lip. Schmalz has designed the Sax from the plastic Elastodur. This is wear-resistant and has a significantly longer service life than comparable materials. The material is also resistant to the effects of ozone and aggressive drawing oils. Schmalz offers the Sax with various connection types. It is available in seven sizes with suction surfaces in diameters of 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100 and 115 millimetres. as
