New building for the new building
Growing faster than planned: At the German Gimatic branch in Hechingen, another new building is being constructed behind the new building from 2016, which is due to go into operation in 2019.
It seems like only yesterday that the German Gimatic subsidiary moved into the new company building in Hechingen. It was only two years ago, but as soon as the new furniture was installed in 2016, the number of employees grew, while the free office space planned for the future was already shrinking. The time is therefore ripe for another new building.
The good economic situation, particularly in Germany, meant that Johannes Lörcher, Managing Director of Gimatic, couldn't stop building: "It's simply that we underestimated the growth potential and planned too tightly for the first construction," he sums up. "Then there was the Group's decision to include sales in Austria and Switzerland. That quickly pushed us to our limits," emphasizes the Managing Director. And so the already planned construction will start this year. "We will now expand in such a way that we will have sufficient capacity for the coming years," adds Mr. Lörcher.
A new office space of 500 square meters and a new storage and assembly area of 250 square meters are being created. "Fortunately, we also bought the plot of land in 2014 and can therefore expand directly behind our company building," says Johannes Lörcher happily. And so another new building is being constructed directly behind the new building from 2016, which is due to go into operation in 2019.
Gimatic Vertrieb in Hechingen has been distributing the pneumatic and mechatronic gripper and handling components of the Italian company Gimatic in Germany since 2005. Customized gripper systems are also designed and built here. Since the end of 2016, the sphere of activity for sales of the Gimatic portfolio has been expanded to include Switzerland and, since fall 2017, Austria. The number of employees in Hechingen has doubled to 20 in recent years. as
