Afag at the Fachpack

Flexible feeding and fast handling

Afag will be exhibiting its Slider feeding station, the successor to the Aflex feeding component and its new Flexspeed handling system at Fachpack.

Afag's highlight at Fachpack comes from the feeding area: the Slider feeding station. This can be used to open and close small sliders, sort them in the correct position and feed them to the next work step - with a cycle rate of up to 80 parts per minute.

With the Aflex qc, Afag is also presenting the successor to the Aflex flexible feeding component. The "qc" here stands for "quick change" and refers to the conveyor plate, which can be changed quickly without tools. Compared to its predecessor, this is made from a single piece and consists of an FDA-certified polyamide material. The Aflex qc can therefore also be used for many applications with high hygiene standards, for example in medical technology or the cosmetics industry. With its innovative 3D vibration conveyor, the Aflex qc reliably manipulates all small and very small parts on the entire conveyor plate and makes them available for subsequent processes. Technical improvements to the basic device and user interface also simplify installation and commissioning.

Handling system with linear motor
Also on show at the Afag stand is the Flexspeed, Afag's new handling system. It is particularly fast and flexible and works precisely at the same time. It is used, for example, in the packaging industry, where high demands are placed on cycle times, or for demanding tasks in assembly automation

The basis of the new handling system is the PDL40 horizontal gantry axis, which is designed to provide the best conditions for all processes with simple active cooling and an optimized heat sink. It is joined by the ES20-100-SL vertical axes. All three are driven by a linear motor. They can perform different movements simultaneously and also assume different positions. The peak force of the portal axis is 550 Newtons, that of the vertical axis 137 Newtons. as
