Eurotech builds new company building
Eurotech from Geislingen invests 3.65 million euros in a new building. The ground-breaking ceremony took place on May 4, 2020. The state is funding the project with over 400,000 euros from the ELR and ERDF development program.
Construction work on the new company building began with the official ground-breaking ceremony on May 4. New production and storage areas as well as a two-storey administration building are to be built on an area of 7,700 square meters in the Dornbrunnen industrial estate in Rosenfeld by summer 2021. "In order to meet the increased requirements of the industry and the high order volume, we need to reposition ourselves spatially," says Thomas Schulz, Managing Director of the medium-sized company.
Founded in 1996 in Rosenfeld by Peter Bunnenberg, the specialist for vacuum, lifting and transportation technology has been based in Geislingen since 2001. Gradually, additional floors were rented in the main building. However, despite extending the top floor and renting a hall in Balingen, the company has long since reached its spatial limits. The search for a suitable building has been underway for around three years. However, as no suitable rental space was found, Eurotech decided to build a new building.
The innovative Swabian company is being supported in its project by the state of Baden-Württemberg. The funding line "Spitze auf dem Land! Technology leaders for Baden-Württemberg" from the rural development program is intended to promote the development and commercial use of new products and services.
Bau-Cooperation from Offenburg is responsible for planning and managing the construction work. The commissioned office expects the construction work to take around one year. The management and the almost 40 employees are already looking forward to moving into the new premises. They are confident that the construction work will remain on schedule despite the coronavirus crisis. as
