Lifting without compressed air
Etavac technology enables the generation of a decentralized vacuum for handling applications without the use of compressed air. It is based on a piston rod moved by an electromechanical linear drive, which is connected to a bellows.
The bellows is connected either directly or indirectly via a hose to a commercially available suction cup for vacuum applications. The volume of the bellows can be increased or reduced by moving it up and down. This allows a vacuum to be generated up to the suction cup. Compressing the bellows eliminates the vacuum. Pulling the bellows apart creates the vacuum. This enables the decentralized generation of a vacuum directly at the point of use without the use of compressed air. The manufacturer claims cost savings potential of 66 percent. In addition, vacuum generation with Etavac can reduce noise levels by around 30 decibels. as
