Vacuum without compressed air

A vacuum is created using compressed air to enable workpieces to be lifted and handled. However, compressed air only has an efficiency of just under ten percent and is one of the top energy consumers in industry.

Etaopt is now introducing the "Etavac technology", which generates a vacuum without compressed air using an electromechanical linear drive. This saves energy and reduces noise pollution. The required vacuum is generated by simply pulling apart a bellows in direct contact with the workpiece. Pressing the bellows together allows the previously sucked-in workpiece to be released quickly and safely. This Etavac technology offers an efficient alternative to conventional, compressed air-driven vacuum ejectors for handling products. pb
