Radial grippers and rotary actuators

Efficient gripping in confined spaces

Camozzi is presenting a new radial gripper series that is suitable for both the food industry and assembly. The manufacturer is also presenting new rotary actuators for the assembly and packaging industry.

Camozzi promises consistent long-term performance for its new CGSY radial gripper series, even for demanding applications with high productivity requirements. An opening angle of 180 degrees enables a wide range of applications and optimum product handling. This makes the CGSY series suitable for use in stretch blow molding PET bottles or for filling in the food and chemical industries. The robust and compact design and the materials used are intended to ensure precise operation even under adverse conditions, such as in dusty and steamy environments or in applications with frequent cleaning processes.

Precise rotary movement for assembly
The rotary actuators in the QR series are cylinders with double pistons that offer high torques, high stability and precise rotary movement. Using adjusting screws or hydraulic dampers on one side of the rotary actuator, the angle of rotation can be set between zero and 190 degrees as required. According to the manufacturer, the use of shock absorbers allows two to five times more kinetic energy to be absorbed than with pneumatic end-position damping.

The compact rotary actuator allows the moving load to be mounted directly. The QR series is characterized by its compact design, low weight and the option of combining it with end-of-arm tooling (EOAT). This makes the drives suitable for use in the assembly and packaging sector as well as for any application in which objects need to be transferred, tilted or rotated. as
