Hexagon takes over j5
Hexagon has announced the acquisition of j5 International, developer of operations management software to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant operation of industrial facilities.
The company's solutions are used to improve communication and data collection for customers in the oil, gas, power and other industrial markets where more efficient coordination of operations can reduce accidents, injuries and lost productivity. The comprehensive suite of web-based applications replaces the problematic mix of paper records, spreadsheets, databases and other unsystematic manual data collection methods with a structured, configurable and enterprise-wide digital operations management system for logbook records, work instructions, inspection rounds, shift handovers, incident management, safety procedures and much more.
"j5 International's operational applications greatly enhance the value of our HxGN-SDx portfolio, which is used to create and manage an ever-evolving digital twin where both design data and documentation can be created, maintained and viewed throughout the asset lifecycle," said HexagonPresident and CEO Ola Rollén. "By combining the two software portfolios, our customers are now able to integrate the real-time situation of plant operations into the digital twin, which is essential for continuously improving the operation and maintenance of complex plants."
