A hydrogen pressure vessel with a volume of 320 liters was produced for the first time using the extrusion blow moulding process. The liner is more than two meters long, has a diameter of around 500 millimetres and holds 320 liters. And that is not the end of the story.

Optimum air supply
Kautex Maschinenbau develops and manufactures extrusion blow molding machines. Machines from the KBB series are assembled, tested and optimized in the new production hall. The required compressed air is generated by Atlas Copco compressors and flexibly fed to the machines via swivel-mounted booms.

Alain Cappelle takes over packaging at Kautex
In future, Kautex will divide its sales activities, which were previously organized on a cross-industry basis, into the Packaging and Automotive divisions. Andreas Lichtenauer will be responsible for the automotive segment, which will also include composite and special solutions in the future. Alain Cappelle will be the new head of the Packaging division.
