Over 600 companies answered a detailed questionnaire with more than 90 questions. The results of this comprehensive study clearly show the challenges many companies are facing: More than half complain about declining numbers of applicants among young people, while 70 percent note a decline in the quality of applicants. "However, the challenges faced by companies also lead to particularly good conditions for trainees," says Gero Hesse, Managing Director ofTerritory Embrance, a provider of employer branding and talent relations. The companies pay close attention to what the respective trainees need and offer individual support.

445 companies received good or even very good ratings in the criteria examined: support, learning in the company, opportunities for success, digitalization and innovation as well as training marketing. Beumer Maschinenfabrik scored above average in all areas and achieved the highest rating of five stars. This makes the machine manufacturer one of "Germany's best trainers". "We are very happy with this result," says Michael Dilla, Head of Technical Vocational Training at Beumer. "It shows us that we are on the right track, because we pay particular attention to the development of our own junior staff."
